Introducing the Can-RISE Study: Participate to Help Shape Menopause Care in Canada
‌
‌

Dear PWHR community,

We are excited to announce the launch of PWHR's newest initiative, the Researching Information, Support, and Equity During the Menopause Transition in Canada (Can-RISE) Study.

Can-RISE is a national study exploring the real-life impact of perimenopause and menopause across Canada. It is led by Dr. Lori Brotto (Women’s Health Research Institute, British Columbia), Dr. Sofia Ahmed (Women and Children’s Health Research Institute, Alberta), Dr. Colleen Norris (Women and Children’s Health Research Institute, Alberta), Dr. Alexis Reeves (Women’s College Hospital, Ontario), Dr. Iulia Iatan (McGill University Health Centre Research Institute, Quebec), and Dr. Justine Dol (IWK Health, Nova Scotia).

We invite you to participate in the study or share it with your networks so we can advance equitable, evidence-based menopause care in Canada. You can find more details below.

Thank you for joining us on this exciting journey in perimenopause and menopause research. We cannot wait to share what we find!

With warm regards,
Tamil Kendall, PhD
Director, Partnership for Women's Health Research Canada

‌

Menopause is a major life transition, yet many people face it with limited information, support, and access to care.

We are reaching out because you care about women’s health. You may have experiences to share or know someone whose voice should be heard. This is your opportunity to make perimenopause and menopause care better for all Canadians.

We invite you to complete a 20–30 minute online survey about how perimenopause, menopause, and related symptoms affect daily living and wellbeing.

You may be eligible if you:

  • Are 35 to 70 years old
  • Live in Canada
  • Were assigned female at birth and identify as a woman, gender-diverse, or trans
