Our Initiatives

We recognize that advancing women’s health research requires being inclusive of the full spectrum of sex and gender diversity. PWHR has facilitated the development of the Beyond the Binary in Canada Guide (available in English and French), which provides nationally relevant, community-informed guidance that enables researchers to conduct gender-inclusive health research.

Researching Information, Support, and Equity During the Menopause Transition in Canada (Can-RISE)
We are conducting an online survey of Canadian women, trans, and non-binary people’s experiences during the menopause transition. We hope to understand the impacts of the menopause transition on quality of life and daily living, health seeking experiences and behaviours while addressing menopause transition symptoms, and the sources of information used to learn about the menopause transition.

Combatting Misinformation With Science Up First
PWHR has partnered with Science Up First and Canadian researchers, healthcare providers, community organizations, and advocates to identify sexual and reproductive health myths. Together, we are creating evidence-based social media content to combat health misinformation.
